Who we are

Who's behind Cira

Cira's AI nurse handles guidance and intake, but it does not diagnose or prescribe. Every prescription, referral letter, sick-leave certificate, and lab interpretation is reviewed and signed by a licensed human doctor before it reaches you.

VeryPatient network

Prescription refills, referral letters, sick-leave certificates, and lab-result reviews on Cira are handled by doctors within the VeryPatient private clinical network. Each doctor is licensed and registered with the medical council of their country of practice (for example, the Ordre des Médecins in France or the GMC in the UK) before they can review a single case.

Air Doctor network

When your case calls for a live video or in-person consultation, Cira hands you off to Air Doctor — an independent network of roughly 20,000 licensed doctors across around 180 countries. Learn more on our real doctors page.

How we vet clinicians

  • Active, verifiable registration with a national medical council in their country of practice.
  • A valid, unrestricted license to practice medicine.
  • Independent clinical judgment — clinicians can decline any case that isn't appropriate for asynchronous review and refer you to in-person or emergency care instead.
A note on this page: we're building out individual, named reviewer bios for our Medical Review Board. Until those are published here with verifiable credentials, we intentionally don't display named doctor profiles or photos on the site — this page is the accurate description of how clinical review works today.
